On March 16, 2013, Walter Vannoy, age 50, of Newark, Delaware, passed away suddenly at home.
Walt was survived by his mother, Elaine Vannoy, of Wilmington, Delaware, and father Walter Ray Vannoy, Sr., of Aberdeen, Maryland.
Walt was a graduate of McKean High School. He worked at the University of Delaware in the pest control division for 28 years until his retirement in 2008.
Walt loved spending time with his family and friends. He was always trying to make people laugh, and he would give anyone the shirt off his back. Walt enjoyed the outdoors and a good seafood feast.
Walt is also survived by his daughter, Erin Vannoy, of Georgetown, Delaware; brother Mitch Vannoy and his fiancé Donna Cook, of Newark, Delaware; and his nephews Mitchell, Dylan, Tyler and Ryan Vannoy. He will be greatly missed.
A funeral service will be held at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main Street, Newark, Delaware 19711, on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 2:00 PM. Friends and family may visit one hour prior.
