Richard loved the outdoors.Hunting and fishing at Sunset Lake in Newark was his favorite spot. He was the second of 3 generations to be members there. He spent many days watching sports. He was an avid Steelers and Pirates fan. Richard was a lifetime member of Aetna Hose, Hook and Ladder Fire Company as well as a proud member of the NRA. He loved to attend the oyster festival in Chincoteague with his love, Debbie. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Ruth Smith.He is survived by his son, Rick; two wonderful grandkids, Leah and Hunter; and the love of his life, Debbie.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday March 28, 2013 at Bethel Cemetery, 312 Bethel Cemetery Road, Chesapeake City, MD 21915.
