December 29, 2013. She was born April 24, 1943 in Aurora, IL to the late Ralph and Elizabeth (Kouth) Henricks.
Judy worked as a travel agent for many years. She loved to travel and was fortunate to see many parts of the world. One of her very favorite ways to travel was to cruise. Other interests included reading, movies, music, cooking, and politics. Judy was a genuinely kind person who truly loved to laugh. She will be profoundly missed.
She is survived by daughter Lara Bartholow and her husband John of Raleigh, NC; her son Judd Thornton and his wife Caryn, of Roswell, GA; granddaughter Ella Bartholow; and her Airedale Culpepper.
She is predeceased by her husband James R. Thornton who passed away in 2011.
A memorial service will be held at 2PM on Friday, January 3, 2014 at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, Inc., 122 W. Main St., Newark, DE 19711. Friends and family may visit one hour prior beginning at 1PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
