James W. Rierson, Sr., age 78, passed away on March 27, 2013 at his home in Monroe, GA. He was born in Farmington, MD, March 30, 1934 to the late James E. and Myrtle (Wilson) Rierson of Colora, MD.

A 20-year veteran of the United States Air Force served during the Korea and Vietnam era, and the last 4 years in White House Communications. He dedicated 20 more years to Rockwell International as Marketing Manager in the field of Avionics. He retired in 1997. His favorite past time was golf, history and writing short stories.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Audrey (White) Rierson of Monroe, GA; son Joseph Rierson of Las Vegas, NV; daughter Terry Teter and husband Duane of Lawrenceville, GA; daughter Toni Clawson and husband Rick of Sterling, VA; brother John Rierson and wife Rosie of Rising Sun, MD, and sister Louann Frank and husband Russell of Baltimore, MD; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. James is pre-deceased by his son, James Rierson, Jr., sisters Judith Rierson and Nadine Hall, and a brother William.

A Graveside service will be held at Brookview Cemetery on May 16, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to Gentiva Hospice c/o the R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen St., Rising Sun, MD.
