Grace L. Vansant, age 88 of Newark, DE passed away November 3, 2012.

She was born on November 24, 1923 to the late George and Alma Grace (Preddy) Burnham. Grace's loving nature led her to be known for taking care of everyone. While she enjoyed sewing, gardening, and cooking, she especially cherished her moments spent with her wonderful family.

Grace is survived by her son, George E. Vansant and his wife, Maureen of Newark, DE; brothers, Lawson Burnham and his wife, Sharon of Newark, DE, Philip Burnham and his wife, Barbara of Wilmington, DE, George Burnham and his wife, Eve of Richmond, VA; granddaughters, Adria McCall and her husband Ralph of Newark, DE, and Brooke Vansant of Newark, DE; and four great grandchildren, Bryanna, Ralphy, Coleman, and Gracie.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Charles and five sisters.

A service honoring her life will be held at noon on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 W. Main St., Newark, DE 19711. Visitations will be held from 6-8pm on Monday, November 12, 2012 and from 11am to noon on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
