Elsie D. Witwer, 82, a lifelong resident of Elkton, passed away at her home September 22, 2012.
Elsie was born on September 17, 1930, the daughter of the late Frank and Alice (Lloyd) Everett. She worked in the restaurant business throughout her life at various restaurants in the capacities of cook, waitress, hostess and manager. She was a supporter of the local Democratic Party, who loved to travel on cruises and throughout the United States. A people person, she will be missed by family and friends.
She is survived by her son, David Witwer of Elkton and her sister Helen Schirling of North East, MD. She was preceded in death by her husband Herman and seven brothers.
A service honoring her life will be held at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A. 259 East Main St., Elkton, MD 21921 on Friday October 5, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may call at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6 – 8 pm. Burial will be in Elkton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society c/o the funeral home.
