Conley E. Barker, age 61, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on March 24, 2012 at Union Hospital. He was born on November 13, 1950 in Cleveland, Ohio to Millard and Willie (Wyatt) Barker.

Conley was a wonderful, caring, selfless man who put his family first above all else. He was extremely spiritual and loved attending church and bible study. He enjoyed the simple things in life and thrived off of helping others in many different ways.

Many in the community knew Conley as a custom home builder who took great pride in his career, treating each house as his own; he was known for his insistence on perfection. He was a huge Maryland Terrapin fan that began in his teen years, he never missed watching a game.

Conley and Joyce were married for more than 40 years and were rarely seen apart. He was a devoted husband and father to his children, Lynn Biddle of Oxford, PA and Jeff Barker of Rising Sun, MD. He was overjoyed with his grandson Joey, who was also his best friend. He is also survived by his sister, Sharon Barker of Colora, MD.

Services will be held at 12:00 pm on March 29, 2012 at R. T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 111 S. Queen Street, Rising Sun, MD, where friends and family may call two hours prior.
