Celia J. Hughes-Racine, 50, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away suddenly September 13, 2012 at Johns Hopkins Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Havre de Grace, MD on December 11, 1961, Celia was the daughter of Zilphia D. Hughes and the late Rodney Hughes. She was a homemaker, a devoted and loving wife and mother, and also worked with her husband in their real estate investment business.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 30 years, Charles Racine; three children, Amanda, Taylor and Lance Racine; two brothers, Larry and Douglas Hughes; and two sisters, Anita Coakley and Karen Hughes Turk.
A celebration luncheon of Celias' life will be held Wednesday September 19 at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, 35 Sylmar Rd. Rising Sun, MD 21911 from 1:00pm-4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family, 442 Telegraph Road, Rising Sun, MD 21911 .
