Anna Brown Williams, 86, of Chesapeake City, MD, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Aug 06, 2014 at Abbey Manor.

She was born on Feb 07, 1928, the daughter of the late Belford Howard Brown and Alicia Broadwater Brown. Anna went to work at Aberdeen Proving Ground shortly after her high school graduation and worked in various capacities for a number of years and also worked at the Back Creek General Store in Chesapeake City. The family is grateful to the staff at Abbey Manor and Seasons Hospice for their care and compassion.

Surviving are her niece Carole Northwood of Wilmington and her nephew John M. Clayton, Jr. of New Castle, DE and a number of great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Frances B. Clayton.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday August 11, 2014 at R.T. Foard Funeral Home, P.A., 318 George St., Chesapeake City, MD 21915 with a visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the St. Augustine Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cecil County SPCA c/o the funeral home.
