"To the Kerns family
Mary (Evelyn) was a proud member of American Legion Mason-Dixon Post 194 for 47 consecutive years. A photo of her in her Army uniform hangs proudly on the wall at the Post. She was a valued member and veteran, and loved by all who knew her. Her many friends at the Post mourn her passing. We hope that the family can take solace in knowing that she served her family, community, and country well and that she is now at peace with God. We pray that God's perpetual light shines brightly upon her."

"Tim and Dale and family, I am sorry for your loss. I choose to believe that she is with Jim now and what a happy reunion that was. While it is a sad occasion, it is also a joyous one to know that she has joined Jim and will live happily ever after. God Bless"
